[IDEA] Signature contest

I want to create a signature contest to keep some of you a little bit busy.
I create a signature contest with a registering limit of 7 days, this contest has a theme which you have to stick with, and when the deadline is reached, and I received all the signatures, I'll create a topic(poll) containing the the signatures and then let the people vote. This topic(poll) will be up for another 7 days so people can vote.
It's obvious that you're not allowed to vote for yourself.
I want to make this a monthly contest, and if it's quite a success I might get Piety to get ranks for signature contest, and perhaps points and ranks. Obviously if the first month has more then 3 or 4 competent then I'll force Piety to make us a sub-forum for the contest alone.

Poll will be up for 7 days, then I might create a signature contest.
Sad enough, I want compete in this contest myself, my skills in Photoshop or paint are lacking.

liked the idea, but i probably won't participate in a lot of contests.
I barelly change sigs cuz i'm lazy, so i probably won't do a new one every month :b

I voted yes, I like the idea.

I also concur to both statements above.. That also sounds like an good idea.

Hm hm! I like the idea, but i think every week is to much, maybe we should just make it one time and when we have new members, more people then start a second...third...

Yeah, I like Aste's chain of thought regarding this..

As we are now, we might get 1-2 people to join the first contest. But if we ran it once every week, we'd have way less.

I don't know if we'd even get anyone, if we ran one now. Hmm.

I said 1 contest every month... But the polls last 1 week, and whenever I give a theme I give people 1 week(might make it two weeks) the time to make a signature and send it up to me.

Here's an example of how the contest would go;

1) Make a poll with multiple themes for 1 week, let people vote and the favourite theme is the theme in which people have to make their signature. If your signature doesn't have anything to do with the theme, then I won't accept the signature and then you can make another one, if you want.
2) 1 Week(might be 2 weeks) the time for the people to send me the signature they want to compete in the competition.
3) I'll put up another poll with the competing signatures and then let the members vote. For 1 week.

This could take 4 weeks, so in fact it would give me a non-stopping job every month. Luckily, I'm not alone in this guild But I'll let you know before the contest starts who'll take over the contest.
